The full cheek snaffle bit – which also includes the Fulmer snaffle (a full cheek bit that has loose rings) – is great for horses that need help with turning. It’s considered one of the more corrective snaffle bits. Full cheeks are good for horses who have a hard time understanding direct rein pressure or tip their heads as an evasion.

You should make sure that you restrain your full cheek snaffle with restraining loops attached to the bridle to reduce the likelihood that the arms can get tangled with various tack and equipment on and around your horse.
