How to use Nikwax® PolarProof®

Use Nikwax Polar Proof® in a washing machine…

Conventional detergent can damage water-repellency. Therefore always clean first with Nikwax® Tech Wash®. No need to dry item(s) before waterproofing. Follow garment care label instructions. Shake bottle well before use.

Top Loading Machine Wash:

1. Remove all detergent build-up from the detergent dispenser.
2. Place clean item(s) in washing machine (maximum 6 items).
3. After the machine has filled with water use:
   3fl oz (100ml) for 1-2 items, low water level
   5fl oz (150ml) for 3-4 items, medium water level
   8fl oz (250ml) for 5-6 items, high water level
4. Run heavy soil machine cycle.
5. Wash according to care label.

Front Loading Machine Wash:

1. Remove all detergent build-up from the detergent dispenser.
2. Place clean item(s) in washing machine (maximum 3 items).
3. Use 3fl oz (100ml) for 2-3 items and 4. Wash according to care label.

Air dry or tumble dry on a low setting if care label allows.

To maintain waterproofing always wash with Nikwax Tech Wash®. Do not use detergents.

Nikwax Polar Proof® can be applied by hand…

For best results always clean item(s) first with Nikwax Tech Wash®. No need to dry item(s) before waterproofing. Shake well before use. Follow care label instructions.

1. Use gloves, immerse clean garment(s) in 6L hand-hot water in sink or bowl.
2. Use 1.5fl oz (50ml) for 1-2 item.
3. Agitate to mix, leave to soak for 5 minutes, then agitate thoroughly.
4. Rinse in cold water until water runs clear.

Air-dry or tumble dry on a low setting if care label allows.

To maintain waterproofing always wash with Nikwax Tech Wash®. Do not use detergents.
